Feminist's Night Out with Rebecca Traister - Good and Mad

*Please note: This event has been moved from Foam to the Mad Art Gallery.

Thursday, October 18, 7pm
Mad Art Gallery, 2727 S. 12th

Rebecca Traister, Good and MadJoin Left Bank Books for a Feminist's Night Out with bestselling author of All the Single Ladies Rebecca Traister, who will sign and discuss her new book, Good and Mad: The Revolutionary Power of Women's Anger, with activist Pamela Merritt!

In the year 2018, it seems as if women’s anger has suddenly erupted into the public conversation. But long before the Women’s March and the #MeToo movement, women’s anger was not only politically catalytic—but politically problematic. The story of female fury and its cultural significance demonstrates the long history of bitter resentment that has enshrouded women’s slow rise to political power in America, as well as the ways that anger is received when it comes from women as opposed to when it comes from men. With eloquence and fervor, Rebecca Traister tracks the history of female anger as transformative political fuel—as is most certainly occurring today.

Doors and the bar will be open at 6:00pm! Come early, grab a drink, and mingle with your fellow feminists before the show gets started!

“Rebecca Traister has me convinced in this deftly and powerfully argued book that there will be no 21st century revolution, until women once again own the power of their rage."  —Dr. Brittney Cooper (Eloquent Rage)
